AUTOBIOGRAPHY
This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you about myself?
Okay. Here are the highlights:
I am a professional songwriter, producer, voice actor, artist.
When I was a tiny human, I became the voice of national radio and TV campaigns for Walmart, Subway, and some 90s brands you’ve likely forgotten about. My very first job was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance for a political radio segment. Have you ever heard a four-year-old try to pronounce “indivisible”?
The performance bug had bitten me early, and it left a lasting mark. I began writing songs and posting them on YouTube, moving from Virginia to Nashville at 17 to pursue a career in pop stardom. Practical! Along the way, I developed a love for music production, finding a secret superpower in my ability to record tracks, tune and edit vocals, and mix demos.
I got to check off so many of the items on my bedazzled bucket list: I signed a publishing deal, was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Fresh Finds, and surpassed a million streams on my maybe-too-confessional pop album, Fever Dream.
My songs have been featured on the NFL and the NHL, despite the fact that I have never played a sport in my life. I’ve had my music promoted in Nordstrom and Zara stores worldwide, saw my own photo in Vogue Italia, and secured a sponsorship with Avid Audio that landed my songs on a hard drive sent into outer space. (I’m basically an astronaut now?)
And it took the completion of all these fancy goals to learn the mundane truth—that they could not define me, like I hoped they would.
My accomplishments could not answer the question that kept digging its fingernails into my brain—Who am I? What is all of this for?
I’m still not totally sure—and probably never will be—but I inched a little closer to the answers while making my second LP, Bad Posture. This record forced me to look closely at all the shaky unknowns in my life: spirituality, relationships, self devotion. Between myself and my sole collaborator on this project, David Kalmusky, we built a cinematic world for this music that felt like a safe place to escape to.
Bad Posture has become my fortress, and I am beyond excited to finally invite you inside. Please make yourself at home—everyone is welcome here.
